Character List

It might just be the boredom kicking in combined with my procrastination on working on descriptions of places in the RF village on the Troupe forum, but I figured I would start a breakdown of all the characters that I actually use and work with under various circumstance. Really there are all based around certain time periods:

Medieval:
Isaac Johnston: My first character ever created, he is called a divine knight, kind of like a member of the church’s army during his day. He is skilled with two handed blades, but if forced to can use spears or one handed blades. He also has very minor abilities in holy magic. His story, well that’s a long and complex thing, but I’ll try to shorten it up. Basically Isaac was an orphan and raised by the church, while being bullied he mets a young girl with profound magical abilities named Laura and the two of them in end spending a lot of time with one another. Both of them enroll in an academy for divine knights in training and their counterparts, priest/priestess. They both graduate at the same time and are partnered with one another before being send to fight in a war known as the crusades (Clever name I know). A couple of years after that they are sent back to their home and begin to have an intimate relationship. While Isaac is away Laura assaults a Cardinal from a different region and is sentenced to be executed. The executioner is none other than Isaac himself, who carries out the deed though not before begging Laura to consider trying to escape with him. This sends him into a so called “Lost soul” period where he ends up getting partnered with another girl named Melayna Wainhart. Little do they both realize that she is actually what ends up curing him of his grief, if only for moments at a time.

Laura Tate: Normally she is just an NPC I use when I RP with Isaac before his “Lost soul” period. She is an advanced priestess who knows more magic spells than any of her mentors. Her weapon of choice is actually a rather large boomerang, quite an odd weapon, but considering her specialty is range it is very fitting. Anyway her history and Isaac intertwine for a large portion of his story up until the few days before her execution. As it turns out she only assaulted the Cardinal because he was trying to have his way with her, like so many other priestesses before her. (I actually plan to write out a little scene about this sooner or later because little does everyone know that their wedding was actually suppose to take place the day of Isaac’s return). Just before she was executed she placed a fake curse on Isaac, mainly just for show so that he would not be executed by the church along with her.

Melayna Wainhart: My newest character, Melayna Wainhart is someone who comes along in Isaac’s story during his “Lost soul” period. She is a very upbeat and cheerful person though can sometimes have a darker and more serious side to her, though no one is quite sure why that is (Even I don’t know, seriously and I was the one who created her). Her weapon is a crossbow because she is too clumsy to use anything else, she’s even been known to hurt herself when using a staff. Her magic, while not as impressive as Isaac’s previous partner, are a force to be reckoned with. Her specialty is channeling holy energy into pearls that she had embedded into various articles of clothing, one on each wrist as a bracelet, and one on the left side of her glasses frame. She does know a few other casting spells but the pale in comparison to her channeling. (She was really an experiment with new types of magic that I wanted to try out.)

Ivan Frendrake: My perverted little sorcerer, Ivan tends to be a less serious character of mine mainly because he depends on his magic to get him out of ever situation he encounters. Ivan was actually my second character ever created though he’s been changed around so much over the years that it would be impossible to recognize the two of them. He has gone for a mage who can use three elements, to a mage who can only channel, and finally to a two element sorcerer, which is probably where I’ll keep him. His past was something new that I worked on recently, the whole thing actually sort of like a parody of Isaac’s past. An abusive step father and him accidentally killing his parents, okay so I don’t see the joke either so I guess you could call it a worst case scenario. As it stands right now Ivan is my comedy relief character in that he always losses when fighting. He uses a staff and a bronze axe, which he constantly loses during the heat of the battle. His two elements are fire and wind, though he only knows very few spells at the moment. Considering he’s my youngest character I feel that he still has a little bit more to go before he can reach that point where he’s just awesomeness incarnated.

Steampunk/Medieval:

Brian Wilkinson: My second newest character, who just so happens to fit into Isaac’s story, though I normally don’t do it because his weapons tend to consist of slightly more futuristic weapons than Isaac’s time period allows for. The most notably feature of Brian is, well he’s just plan funny looking. He wears the frilly robes and long white powdered wigs that most nobles wear during the time of the American Revolution. In fact he is sort of like Benjamin Franklin in a sense, minus the whole cultist thing, yea Ben was quite a character… Anyway he wears these things because he hates his appearance, he’s really tall and muscular compared to many of the other in the noble circles. He’s a traveling inventor, so his weapons are by far the most creative things I’ve come up with. Flamethrowers, muskets, sword triangles, t-square pick-ax, I could go on and on, but I’ll leave it at those.

Modern:

James Bradley: My personal character for anything modern that does not have to do with violence at a first glance. Normally he takes the role of either a college student, engineer, or construction worker depending on whatever I’m in the mood for. I even believe once I made him a medical student in a zombie RP, needless to say he used syringes. This character is by far the easiest for me because he’s basically myself in an RP character form. Of course there are a few discrepancies, but I do not feel the urge nor need to point those out at this particular time. You will probably find him around all sorts of Harvest Moon related RP because he is more of a slice of life character.

Wallace U. Wainwright: My very clever friend Wallace Wainwright, always having some sort of screwed up scheme that he considers perfect to try and rob anyone near him of all of their valuables. Of course he was ‘born’ during a debate about theft on Hay makes Fire. Of course being the creative person I am I created Wallace as a sort of way how to show how stealing was done right in an RP format. He’s like a cliche ninja, only with a few little twist, A.) He’s nearly 70 and B.) He suffers from terminal lung cancer. As of right now I’ve only hinted at the fact that he’s sick, by having him take a few batches of medication, and that he only does one job over the course of a few weeks. He is really my way of trying to be able to let a character die, I’ve never killed a character before, and probably he’ll be the first.

Modern/Sci-fi

James Jones: James Jones is very similar to my other James in personality and appearance. (If I remember correctly) The only difference between the two is the fact that James Jones is forced to live with his dead beat, drunkard of a father. James does not know what his father does for a living, but knows that it is enough to buy groceries and the seeming bottomless pit of an alcohol cabinet. At first he’s just a normal middle school student working as a bicycle delivery boy for a small pizza place in his town. That was before he learned how to use magic, well if you could call it that. It was more like creating electrical sparks and small blasts of fire, kind of like a cattle prod and a welding torch respectively. Using those abilities he created the unique weapons the mechno gauntlets which give him the ability to predict the enemies movements using a very detailed computer program that analyzes moves. Of course it is still flawed though he was certain it would win in the science fair. No only did it not win, it was almost as if he did not even enter the contest. When James went into work that night, however, he was met by an official from a school for the gifted and was given an invitation to it. That’s all I have right now though.

Marilyn Winnifred Aureole Barret Esme: The only pure villain I have ever made. She is the cliche, daddy never hugged me enough so I’m going to kill the world spoiled rich girl villain, though despite that fact she is actually more powerful than those whiny posers. She has a large arsenal of fire magic at her disposal as well as a giant scythe that she carries around at all times. Marilyn is actually a vampire, though she did not become one the normal way. She was revived by a necromancer after being killed by a group of muggers. For some reason her magic potential released itself at that point and thus transformed her soul, though most of the details of her trip to the underworld are still unknown. Other than the fact that she is secretly evil, Marilyn is like any other high school rich girl. A spoiled brat who goes shopping whenever the opportunity strikes itself.

JUNA (Juvenile Unit for Neutralizing Adversaries): JUNA I have to say is one of my new favorite characters, even though I have yet to see her in action. The whole name came from when I accidentally misspelled Juan at work one day spelling it as Juna. Needless to say I thought it was a clever name and wanted to put it to use. Now JUNA is over course not human, but an android that takes on the appearance of a 7 year old girl. She has long pink hair and pink eyes, making her more like a character straight out of an anime. She even comes complete with a giant gun and flawed personality index. Really she was just for fun, though the more I worked on her the more interesting she ended up becoming, especially when I added her magic ability of transkinesis, the ability to cause anything that can be used as transportation to be thrown using just a small electromagnetic field.

Mecha:

Narcyz and Arctic Wind: Narcyz is my most underdeveloped character. As of right now all I have for him is that he is a Polish mechanic that just so happened to get his hands on the mecha, Arctic Wind. The mech itself is nothing to brag about looking more like a thing made out of legos than a fully automated killing machine. It’s blue and white paint scheme also do not seem to help it during the spring through the fall, often leaving him as an open target. It is good for support though, often being able to carry multiple cartridges of ammunition. As far as weapons go he as a rifle which fire in three round bursts at a time, either regular shells or HAPIRs (Heavy Armor Piercing Incendiary Round), though it is also capable of using some plasma rounds. A small missile launcher on one shoulder, holding 8 missiles. A radar jammer placed upon it’s other shoulder blocking radio transmissions for an unheard of 40 miles. The only other weapon is a small hand held grenade launcher that Narcyz keeps hidden as a sort of last resort.
