Well with HMF being down I have taken the time to look around various other forums, trying to see if my RP skills were as sharp as I had hoped they would be. From what I’ve noticed, I have actually gotten at lot better since I joined the HMF forums, though that is kind of surprising considering you don’t find many members who are willing to go above one line in their posts.
Of course I suppose that is what forced me to improve, having to respond to a one line post while retaining at least one paragraph was something I dreamed impossible up until a few months ago. My next course of action is to actually go back through my profiles and revamp them once again, something I try to do at least twice a year if not three times. I’ve already done one of them, the first character I brought to HMF and am surprised to see that the profile has gotten a lot large, and my attention to personality and physical description seemed to have improved slightly, though my physical descriptions still need some work.
All and all though, there isn’t anything to report. AC is still inactive because of SFD (Sudden Forum Death), Neverath ETA is around the same time as Duke Nukem Forever (Not gonna happen in other words), and as for Nub’s Tower, well I haven’t really done anything with the tower lately, it’s still on the backburner waiting for more potential members to show up. One last project I did start though was a Rune Factory based village on the Troupe’s Forum, though I still have a lot of descriptions and a lot of other things that I need to (and don’t want to) work on. Maybe I can find someone else to do them for me like what they did back over on Hay makes Fire…

Harvest Moon Farm forums going down was actually an unexpected thing for me. I was quite surprised when it happened, and began to look for survivors that were not members of the troupe. (Considering that the troupe is mainly HMF members themselves.) What ended up happening was I made my way to one of the HMF affiliate forums Ranch Story and set up an account there using my HMF account. They too had noticed the forum going down and have offered refuge for any of the members that were scattered around the seas of the internet. The only problem is though, that no of the newbies of our little community were even able to find their way to the affiliate site, so as of right now the only others that I know are okay are the people who have joined the temporary board.
It seems that even they seem to be getting a little impatient about having to wait on a temporary site, with limited members and limited topics. That is why I propose that they move to the ToF forum. Sure it suffers from the same problem when it comes to members, but it is by no means a temporary site. I am even prepared to set up a village on the forum if need be, though I am still not certain about the rules of the village or if it’s going to be based off of Rune Factory or not.
Possibly the best thing to come from this event was the newest RP I created about the destruction of Aurora. Now most members were not willing to simply kill off their characters so I have had to change my plans a little bit and allow a few of the to escape. I hope it ends up turning into something like the Higurashi anime that I had watched a few months ago, though I doubt it’ll end up being that weird :P.

The latest creation of Jim which just so happens to be on of his more interesting. It is a game show based newbie RP where the RPers have to have their characters proform certain tasks before moving up to the next level. If they fail the mission once they have to come up with a completely new post.
I’m think about adding a twist though, if their character screws up more the six times the character is killed and the RPer will need to make a new contestant from scratch.
Jim of course will be playing the host of this little experiment, though isn’t above making a character himself, we’ll just have to see. I should really consider making a more modern character, heck all the one’s I’ve kept over the years are either Steampunk or Medieval…

Another RP that I plan to start up is one Brian and I created back in the spring of this year. It’s basically a high school anime based RP with various groups of characters. One of the reason I stopped during production is because of writer’s block, though I had to edit almost everyone’s profiles and it just got daunting and monotonous. Hopefully this whole experience with working on various other projects will give me the creative spark I need to get started on the RP again, though I”m still not too sure that anyone will rejoin it.
It’s going to have quite a few downgrades though, a lot of NPCs and probably all of the mandatory courses will go. I figure that I was trying to over complicate something so simple, which is why I lost interest. Not to mention no one seems to understand what “Only a few special people are selected” seems to mean.

Alright so most of my spare time right now is going towards Aqua Mythic’s newest RP idea, a medieval based RP that we have decided to call Aurora chronicles. So far what we have planned is simple, though I can’t yet reveal what it is trust me it’s quite a twist.
Aqua right now plans to have his character as the protagonist, though as of yet, I haven’t seen much of what he’s worked on (Really just a bunch of random thoughts that we tied together to make a story). Though as I play these ideas in my head they really don’t all sound so bad.
While I won’t divulge anything about Aqua’s plans, I’m more than willing though to discuss my character, Isaac Johnston a divine knight from the kingdom of Silvercrest. Basically he’s the kind of person who would rather kill first and ask maybe one or two questions later, though he wasn’t always like that. It’s his recent past that has created this monster within him and I plan to show his inner struggles with both his kingdom as well as himself throughout the entire story.
Really this should be a good read, so look forward to it whenever Aqua decides to release it.

Alright since Brian made this and Jim “borrowed” it, he guesses that he might as well use it. He plans to us it to discuss what he’s working on, be it school work or the various RP that he and some of his comrades make. Maybe a few random rants here or there too, but nothing to major.
